the point is that the engine is excessivley big
your point that a 2007 production car can have so little power is due to a tiny engine and then for fuel efficiency. the 1.0 litre 45bhp car that i drive gets 50mpg, and despite being low-powered, is suprisingly nippy and drivable

well, that's good that you have your fuel efficiency and you doing ur part for the environment! the only reason i drive a 4x4 dodge is cuz i like goin on trails near my house, and i also need to tow a 1989 ford mustang to the racetrack every week between april and spetember. just as well, on days like today when there is lots of snow, i'm blowin past cars cuz they get stuck, and i got 4x4! Otherwise, i would drive a small car myself.....and trust me, my gas mileage is kinda bad in this thing especially because it's an aerodynamic box!

lol, what do ya get, around 10-15mpg? i get almost 20 or so in mine.
oh, to be honest, since i'm in kilomters, i don't know...but i'd say somehwere around 10mpg as a ballpark estimate! but it could be as low as 6 perhaps...it truely depends how i'm feeling so jahoov....my pickup truck unfortunately doesn't have cheap running costs even though it's my daily driver.....DOH!
