Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
I saw DTM RACER release a couple maps that had jets floating around in them, and decided it was time that we should have jets we can actually fly. well, there's some renders of what i hope to get playable, with the generous help of some good friends, as well as the original modelers. all were made originally for San Andreas. only things in the renders are the main bodies, which is why there's obvious parts missing ya, they're big planes, but hey, better to feel more like you're flying the real thing, doesn't it?

It's nice, but aren't they a little too large for about any map? I'd say, to make it practical, either something smaller (737 or A310) or those, but rescaled so they're not as large.
Would it be possible to run around in those planes, or would that cause too much lag?
they're pretty low-poly, i assume it should be ok. btw, the b17 doesn't really feel all that big once you see it ingame. they're based on realistic scale too, so best bet for practicality would be the 707

Maybe an idea to split them up in "pieces", like the carrier? That will prevent lag. When I see objects this large I think of the blimp of lag.... But hey, this WOULD be sweet to see in, ehmm, Interstate Final?
the blimp is huge, and i think it has a largeass colmesh. or it might be because of the large amount of space it takes up. the jet will be in pieces, but i can't separate that. it'll have moving parts tho. i'll prlly have to do that on the bridge i have tho

Blimp colmesh is close to 3000 polys, BUT! I tried giving it a REALLY simple one, 200something, and it still did the same thing when getting on the ground..
