as i said before, i saw the performance video i downloaded after christmas, and it looks great, so why stop, it looks great! you just gotta get off your lazy asses and work on it. they probly dont even care about it. if the devs do care then get off your asses and work on it! the community is falling apart. there are some people i havent seen in a long time that i dont even remember their names.

ok ,ive talked to mike siebert personally ,and he has told me that is04 has not been cancelled ,but that he has had to get a new team as the old 1 were crap and not doin there job(load of crap),so lets keep r fingers crossed for another millenium wen were all dead

bf2 would be great for is04 since there are many new things. multiple water heghts so it can make better deathraces, destroyable objects, ragdoll and so on. maybe convert what you have done from the is04 for bf:v.

Its not easy to convert from one mod to another. The mod need many improvments, a Massive skinner. If you look at some of the buildings, like the disco it needs alot of work to it, a skin, the disco lights are placed over the disco not inside the disco. We will have to wait and see what is going to happen. Another reason why bf:v sucked, is because the mod textures Sucked. If you jumped into to the 1970 challenger, the car texters sucked so bad, because the bf:v engine was bad, well the texture scale was bad. Bf:v i think did not have an alphashine, that made all textures look like shit. but for battlefield 2 it has Amazing graphics. Completely new lighting and shadow-work a new engine and i think it has Alphashine!!!! I just hope its what were waiting for

BFV does have shine, but in a new way. Instead of using alphachannel in the skin you add shine to the material in the standardmesh rs. file. So its up to the modellers to get the parts right. bf1942's way is a lot more user friendly, and I really really hope that BF2 has part of the good old '42 engine 8)
