 today i installed windows 7 64-bit. bf42 installed fine, but when attempting to run the 1.6 patch setup, this message came up:



unless you have your bf42 installation backed up, it appears that you ultimately cannot play bf42 on windows 7. it may be windows 7, or because i'm running in 64 bit, but whatever the case, it appears that bf42 is no longer playable with the latest edition of windows. will this affect is82? if a workaround is not found, then it most likely marks the end of is82, though i really hope that a workaround is soon discovered. either way, i have nothing to worry about because i have my bf42 installation backed up

looks like a bad download error. Says file is corrupt

 at first i thought it was in fact a bad download, but on my 2nd attempt i saved it rather than running it, and i got the same result

 im running bf1942 on windows 7 64..

always run the installs and patches as admin..

right clicky and it says run as administrator

 Yeah, i run windows 7 64 as well, works fine.
Try running as admin, if that doesn't work, try in compatibility mode
