I swear to god, your all a bunch of morons and I no wonder this site has become an epic fail. You all attack shit like the world was ending. Let's get things straight, my hatred for Microsoft aside. The Xbox 360 is a good console, it has good games, a lot of RPG games, (Fable 2, Gears 2, Etc..) but ths interface for Xbox is retarded, the new one to say, and having to pay for an online multiplayer service is even more retarded. I wouldn't want to pay that, the less I have to pay out of my pocket the better. Which is another reason why the Xbox 360 is cheaper, because MS can make there money from Live. I don't want anyone to say the Xbox does not have any problems, I go to GameStop everyday to talk to my friends who work there and they are all Xbox fans and even they say that they have close to 5-8 Xbox's come in n a daily basis due to hardware or software related problems, including the Red Rings. That said, most of these Xbox's are new, in fact the older First Gen seem to be the only good ones left around. Moving on, the PS3 is an amazing console, not only because I am a huge Sony fan and I have had a PS1 and PS2. That said, when I bought a third gen console, I thought long and hard about it, because I really liked both, but Blu-Ray was the future and I wanted a BR player, that was the main use, it was at the time the cheapest BR player. With that said, when I found out it had some great titles, I went and bought them and I have to say, no regrets. On that note, I do have an Xbox 360 Elite and I do love it, I do have Live but I don't pay for it, thats what many years of MS Connect Beta testing gets you. So to be honest, it's technically up to the user who buys it and what they want to use it for. Are you intersted in RPGs? Do you want Blu-Ray? Do you want a sexy looking PS3 xD? Do you want to pay for online gameplay yearly? Do you want a cheesy looking avatar from Xbox Experience? Do you have the awesome looking Home? All these questions you need to ask yourself because we can not make the decision for you. We can help you, as for these studies your looking at, I am not sure where you got it from, but they might not be all that true to be honest.
Inno...I'm sorry to inform you of this, but the 360 has you pay yearly for the online because it isn't utter crap like sonys online. Half the games don't even work on PS3 online or lag like hell. SOCCOM is an example.
And as for the PS3 menu being GODLIKE!! no..it's just the PSPs menu on a bigger screen.
everyone knows console v console threads never end happily, so I'll end it here. it all comes down to what games you like, dev's are finally warming to the PS3 and multiplatform games are getting better and better, the PS3 will save you money in the long term because it has built in wireless & the online is free, 360 has alot more games but has a monthly fee, plus the unreliable hardware, go with what your heart desires.
