Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
I don't know where to start with my problem, I've been searching for solutions, countless goggling and reading, I have come across many people with my problem yet they don't know the cause. I stutter in game and out of game, not really bf42, also steam games stutter.
Basically what happens: When I start BF2, the movies stutter, the menu stutters, loading a map stutters, my mouse movement stutters, when I first load a map it stutters for 2 minutes and goes away! Music does not stutter.
I have browsed for solutions and many times I have heard, get another gig of ram, so finally I get another gig of ram, installed, BIOS reads it fine, windows reads it fine, still stutters.
I have been stuttering for a very long time on this setup, I have done some reformats; I have always used appropriate/latest drivers for my video card, sound card and mother board. I do not have any viruses, I don’t run any other applications in the background besides normal setup ( I have toyed with the running processes and ended up screwing up XP )
So processes, drivers are not the problem, video card is not the problem ( done many upgrades still have it) sound card not the problem (although removed sound stuttering)
I have toyed with the settings only God knows how many times I have, I have deleted the shaders after every video setting (also altered sound settings) I don’t have VOIP enabled.
I clear my TEMP internet files frequently, I defrag every weekend
so even with 2 gigs of ram my recent upgrade, I STILL stutter! My brother has pretty much the same thing.
6600GT 128mb video card
whatever the sound card is, rather dated
1 gig ram pc3200
and other things.
I used to have that setup, but he does not stutter! (And he has Norton running too)
------------------------------------
So what’s the darn deal with this freaking stuttering I've tried many things
the only thing I haven’t ally considered changing is my Power supply unit, which is 420W. How come my brother with worse hard ware doesn’t stutter?!
May I also include, Just on my desktop, when I open team speak or something, I have that same stuttering, which lasts for the same time. Even out of game I stutter. I really cannot find a solution.
Till now my friends, I have suspicions that my 420W Power Supply Unit may be the cause; I've browsed for similar cases, funny how the PSU is rarely even mentioned after a non successful conclusion of the mystery of not solving stuttering!
So what do you think? Maybe it’s my PSU? Or am I out of luck...

kick it no not really
ur PC2700 RAM is pretty slow at only 333mhz and it's not even dual channel. ur processor could also be the problem, especially if it's not hyper threading (
ur power supply is not the problem, I'd say it's the RAM. Even with 100 gigs of RAM it'll be really slow at only 333mhz. Try PC3200 DDR ram (steal it from ur brother and test it in your computer)

Old harddrives? BTW, you got the same mainboard as me, and it does support PC3200 400Mhz RAM. Be sure to use the correct drivers for the integrated network adapter or you'll be in trouble, that happened to me a while back. Just for fun, disable it in bios and try running your games without network. And how the hell can you NOT run in dual channel with that setup? Tried a BIOS update?

I agree with all to do a RAM upgrade and see if you can purchase a new CPU. Might solve this fast. And if a restart is all that you need, rofl that would be funny

The stuttering shouldnt be my ram, otherwise using my desktop wouldnt stutter, yes I have restarted my computer. Oold hard drive? yes i've had a 20 gig hard drive for many many years, could that be the problem? And exactly what would a BIOS update do for me.

I find it very strange that you can run 4 sticks of RAM NOT in dual channel, as my board has no way of deactivating this. And we have the same mainboard One faulty HDD will slow down the entire system, believe me. Try the network adapter first, then move on to the harddrive.
