Hey, I'm getting a new comp, I got vista ultimate and keeping my laggy XP comp for some games that don't work with vista.. and wanted to ask what do I install 32 bit or 64 bit? Will old games work with 64 bit? Will new games work with 32 bit? Is there a big difference?! Why couldn't they just make it switch from 64 to 32!?!? *confused*

Alright, remember that Vista is not 100% full-prove yet. I recommened 32bit for now. Thats what I have. Most games and applications WILL NOT run in 64bit mode since they are made for it. This is not a vice-versa thing, 32bit programs will not run on 64 and other way around. Stick with 32bit until designers make applications for it. Remember, for Battlefield 1942 make sure to run it in Windows XP compatibility mode since it will lag and crash on you if you don't set it. Good Luck and if you have any problems, let me know.

What kind of Vista license did u buy?
Unless u bought the most expensive version of Vista, thats on the market. Ur not legally allowed to choose if u install 32 bit or 64 bit.
So it all comes down to this... What Processor do u have? And What kind of Windows license did u pay for? (..Since u payed for it, might as well stay legal)

Yeah, on my Vista I can choice to upgrade to 64bit anytime by downloading a 1Gig file. But I know better then that, like spaz said "NEVER CHOOSE 64 bit"
