Zotob virus infected one of my PC's

Well it seems its infected one of my older pc's to the extent that it won't respond to anything. It reboots and starts up numerous times and i don't have time to get rid of the virus. I don't have any of the driver cd's so i can't reformat on that particular pc. If you have any solutions please post. I can get norton to update and scan but the virus is not going away. Should i go into the registry and delete it my self?

Okay this virus started on my Windows 2000 pc and spread to my XbOX THROUGH A ROUTER.... BEcause i have my xbox modded to Windows 2000 there is no anti virus on the xbox nor have i found out away to put it on there. So basicly i need to order a new harddrive for the xbox. IM disconnecting my router apparently i had DMZ open and the router didn't block anything. This sucks. Im still seeking answers for one of my PC's.

It spread to your Xbox? Holy shit! When your other computer starts up can you get into the BIOS from there and reformat? AlsI have heard of floppy disk drives that attach to your computer Via USB. I believe they are called nuke programs. They do a DOD wipe of your WHOLE computer. I would only use it as a last resort.

I can't reformat because i have no way to install drivers such as sound cards. Preatty much im just guna have to order a new harddrive for the xbox.

Well you said you modded your xbox.... Isn't the virus therefore in the OS on the xbox?

I have not heard of it infecting the xbox, if you have modded it to run Win2k somehow, then you will be able to run a virus scanner. The best way is to use the McAfee stinger tool, its small and fast.

Stick it on a floppy, copy it to the PC before it reboots, and then on the second attempt run the scan.

My xbox is modded with Windows 2000 but when i installed the virus scanner it had all kinds of errors just because the win2k was not the whole OS. The xbox is okay im just going to get a new harddrive. As for the PC i have i went into the registry it told me to go and it wouldent open. I tried the stinger tool and it did the same. I have no clue on what to do now.
