Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker,com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.

right a quick question i know that u need to set up the surface map assisgnment button b4 generating surface map but wot does it actaully do when i fill them little blocks in

I'm no expert, but as far as I know the surface maps cares about stuff like the sound footsteps make (different on concrete than in sand) and the amount of dust a driving car generates. You can see the latter well in Deathrace. On the road, there is no dust. But on the long beach, there is a lot of dust.
Someone with more experience might, of course, know better. I'm just guessing and using info I picked up somewhere.

Ehm, what is your question? Do you mean how to set the surface map? In Ed42, I have no idea, in BC42, simply go in the surface map mode, fill in the fields as you want them and then generate the surface maps. The points where you have said e.g. "I want sand here" will later behave like sand, in terms of sound, grip, dust and so on. Or did you mean something different?
