Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
i have done this already.. but it was as big as camber sands... I took a direct copy of the map and stretched it.... It would be a HUUUUGE task to replicate it... and for it to actually look good.. it would lag like hell with so many objects... The progress i got through is available if you want it... flippin big file though

sweet, man. rlly, thx so much . now importing models directly from vice will have a purpose . btw, did u, like, copy all the .dff map files and rearrange em? or did u jus replicate the map with interstate objects? ?!
All I have done is create a huge map and then used the actual game map (paper map or pics from the web) and turned it into a 16384x16384 image (retaining aspect ratio). The image was a 750 meg TGA file -- I then chopped it using tgasplit and imported into ed42. Basically all you have is the layout for you to then put objects onto. I did create a bit of the city but soon realised it would take untill I die to actually recreate the whole thing.... makes you appreciate the original mappers of Vice!
How are you importing the vice city objects? some kinda 3dmax plugin?

lol, ya, i think the vice map itself must've taken bout a month for the mappers to do. neat how u did it. btw, i'm using a .dff plugin for zmodeler, for objects n cars n solidifying. i might use max for the aftertweaks, but not yet as the primary converter.
