I have become good enough at UVW mapping to make some alright templates.. BUT I dont want my building to be all in one template. How do I assign certain areas to have their own uvw maps. EX) Select Walls as one seperate skin, and select roof as aother. I doubt anybody knows this here, but worth a shot.

LOL your right, the best person to ask is probley Flamin as I know has learning that kind of stuff and is getting very good at it! BTW I think is it not better to have the one skin to do the whole objects or it kinda big..... The way you’re talking about is the way Flamin did the first few objects he did so am sure he will help yeah out
Yeah.. that's about the only way I am dong stuff at the moment.. I just assign 'a texture' to 'a material' on the object.. in editable mesh.. select by face etc.. and then assign a material id to the face.. then assign a texture to that face.. (or multiple faces.. etc.. tough to explain and with no connection at home at the moment it is difficult to even post pics.. (not got 3dmax at work! dont think the management would like that ) anyway.. that blurb might help you..

So I would select the walls faces of the building to have a different texture and material id then the rest of the object? Which will allow it to read that to have a seperate skin in game?
