Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker,com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.

1 The skin
1.1 First you select the objects you want to skin
1.2 Then you use a RFA extractor to open the textures.con in (your battlefield root directory)\mods\(the mod you are using)\archives\
1.3 Find all the skins for the object you are skinning
1.4 Extract them
1.5 Use the .dds converter to convert the .dds to .jpg or .bmp. I don´t matter what you convert them into.
1.6 Paint!
2 Putting the skin into the level
2.1 Open your level with a RFA extractor
2.2 Open the directories and make a folder in …\BF1942\Levels\(your level name)\(make the folder here). Name that folder “mytexture”
2.3 Open the file \Levels\(your level name)\init.con and replace the line “textureManager.alternativePath Texture\Africa” with this “textureManager.alternativePath \bf1942\levels\Final_Showdown\mytexture”
2.4 Now you convert the skin you made to .dds.
2.5 Copy the .dds file to the folder …\BF1942\Levels\(your level name)\mytexture
2.6 Now you RFA pack your map again and the texture should work
2.7 Sometimes the texture don´t work, then check the init.con file from 2.3 again
