Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
Im posting this to make sure that all you Interstate players are protecting yourself against virus attacks.
While the obvious start is a virus checker, these slow down your PC, and most of the time you have to turn them off during games, leaving yourself vunerable. With the right software, and a bit of common sense you can protect yourself without the need of a virus checker always running.
1. Step one, get some good firewall software. While many recomend ZoneAlarm, I personnally find Sygate Personal Firewall ( Free ) better.
2. If you use XP, disable the built in firewall as its useless, and has been shown to neither protect against m$ flaws, and usually blocks stuff that you want let through. Theres plenty of guides on the web for how to do this so I wont go into this.
3. Install Spyware Blaster which stops virus that use Browser exploits to infect your PC.
4. Make sure all your accounts, this means your parents, sisters, brothers etc have a password set and do not just login in straight away. It does not have to be a hard or cryptic password, your not stopping hackers, just virus's that connect to your PC by unpassworded accounts.
5. Always be cautious about all attachments, including files by instant messaging. Dispite people being aware, many still open virus because they have been tricked by the email praying on a human weakness or pretending to be from a trusted site.
Take these first steps towards protecting yourself, and you will be more likely playing Interstate than re-installing over a corrupt windows.
Thanks Rich. I have McAffe Virus Scan and Firewall but ur right that if you have the scanner going it makes ur comp waaaay slow and gay. Plus whenever you want to play a game or do anything with the Internet you get an anoying window with an annoying "bebebebebebebebeeep" sound. So basically i have both disabled now but i'm going to use that firewall you suggested. __________________

Well many people consider adware and spyware a form of virus as they are often installed onto your PC without your consent by use of internet explorer bugs, and then they track your activity and spam you with popups. __________________
