Hi all!
I have a few questions relating to this fantastic mod, and was wondering if anyone on here could provide some answers.

1. Why is the Lancia Stratos such a popular car in this mod? I know it was a VERY successful rally car, but I was wondering why this car in particular..?

2. Why do all of the characters 'square gait'? By 'square gait' I mean that the characters swing their arm on the same side as their leg? When I was in the Oz Air Force we used to get people who were totally useless at marching doing this. It's hilarious to watch real people do it...

3. Why are there no 1980's cars in this mod? The Delorean was still being made in the 1980's, but it started in the 1970's, so that doesn't count.

4. Why is there 1970's style music attached to ths mod, when by 1982, there were plenty of prolific 1980's music artists, and by 1982 the music of the 1970's was becoming a distant memory...

Now, don't misunderstand me please! I LOVE this mod and play it often, but I've always wondered about the above things whilst playing it.
NONE of this is a criticism, just so we're clear...

Music (Disco) is from 1979 and was a massive hit back then, probably still good in 82.

Lancia is popular mostly due to this site and community. Racemaps was not the #1 priority of this mod until we came along. Other cars are just rubbish for races, easy as that. In battlemaps, the Lancia sucks.

Cars from the 80's... You must understand, that fitting the cars with nos and weapons took some time. When they completed weaponizing the vehicles the year was suddenly 1982

Well, I dont know, but most cars were around in the early 80's.

The walk, is just lol, I dont know if its intentional or just a messup, but its good for a laugh.

Oh and a wizard.

There is a thread somewhere with some more info.

Yeh, the stunt maps I always thought needed a selection of vehicles.

Coding must be tough just to fit em with hover and N0S. I've finally located my .rfa folder so I may put out a map early 2011, if somebody holds my hand hopefully 10-15 minutes max, and if it's approved of course, cheers

You mean why haven't you seen me in the servers?
Well everytime I go to get on the servers, there's no one else in there...
Plus my internet speed is a bit slow at the moment - I've exceeded my monthly limit :$
