Well I get the honors of breaking this news. Rubba Chikin has been working devilishly hard for everybody. And so far he has a map that is about 1 gig in file size!
In it there are 2 race tracks, imported from gta with the help of Flamin so as to get the mat id's correct. This means that there can be alot more ground detail, and ultimately a very smooth race track with unbelievable textures.
Also in that one gig of file space there are going to be 50 custom cars imported from gta. Most of them are drift cars straight from the streets of japan.
Now this isn't just going to be a one time super map deal. But once you have downloaded it further maps can/will be made using the code/models/textures that are already in this map. This means that future map downloads don't have to take forever when they have cool custom cars.
Finally, just as a note but 1 gig is the uncompressed file size. Once it is packed for the final time it will be a compressed rfa with a far smaller file size.

I have sampled this map and the car handling is not like anything I've driven before.. its tough to get used to.. but you can easily see that it will be beautiful once perfected.
everything is currently just dry-run. like, the appearance and everything is fine, the handlings just need tweakin. The race-class cars' handling is slightly more gran-turismo-y, given that you can't take sharp turns at 100mph. you'll actually have to slow down for the turns. drift-class cars are a lot different, given that they're simply for drifting, not racing. and with completely different handling than the racers, mixing them is not reccommended. also, if bbcode is better, i'll do it. the thread'll just take a lot longer to load.

thats alright. You can still scoll down to read while the pictures load... and when you get to the second page you won't see the pictures unless you want to go back

I just noticed 1 thing regarding these cars tho, they dont have shadow underneath... THEY NEED SHADOW(even if its low poly)

actually, they have shadow. the thing is that objects can't project shadows onto other objects (the track is an object, not terrain) which i can't seem to find a way to work around.
btw, i'm switching to named URL's cuz it's practically impossible to load all of them at once using img
I'll list the roster of currently confirmed operational and pending vehicles when i get home. first bell rings in 5 mins, and i don't have any spare blocks today. also, i can barely remember half the list. lol
