Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
Well i've been thinking about upgrading my pc so I can play some newer games. What I have for now..
Intel Pentium D 2.8 ghz dual core ~ 5.03 ghz 1024 DDR2 ATI Radeon X1300 512 mb Integrated/Shared video. 250 gb hd
When I try playing Test Drive Unlimited on lowest settings, most effects off and resolution 640x480, I get around 13 fps. I can run BF1942 on high 800x600 (16 bit) but I get some lower fps rates on 1024x768 ( 32 bit ) and its unplayable on 1280x1024 32 bit. So I've been thinking about upgrading my pc, everyone said its the graphics card, so I've been thinking about buying the 8800 GTS, but Shrooms gave me a link to a performance test of some graphics cards which showed the FPS rates in BF2142, and there is not many difference in FPS rates between the 8800GTS and the 7950GT, and there IS much difference in price. I'll have to buy a new power supply tho, but this is what i'll have then if i'll upgrade in october.
Intel Pentium D 2.8 ghz dual core ~ 5.03 ghz 2048 DDR2 Nvidia Geforce 7950 GT 250 gb hd
Will it help a lot? Since I don't want to purchase all those things while it doesn't even help that much..

Yea, it will on the games we have now... But the main reason the nVidia GeForce 8800 GT is more expensive, is because of DirectX10.
The 7950 DOESNT have DX10 support. (so it will be a waste of money, in my book)
What do u mean with 5.03 GHz ?? (Just becuase it has 2 cores, doesnt mean double GHz!) And if u managed to overclock it THAT much, i`d like to know which cooler ur using, lol
And yes.. The more RAM the better - Id go for 4 GB nowadays, if ur Motherboard can handle it. DDR2 RAM`s are cheap nowadays, but will increase in price very soon.

shitz0rs, 5GHz, I am interested in knowing that too please . I agree with K_S_O, if your going to spend the money, get the DX10 based card, that will last a very long time.

Well i'm not a huge fan of DirectX 10, and i'm kinda in need of a computer upgrade, I know what you mean =] All next gen games are going to use it, but.. yeah, i'll have to wait like 2 years before I have the money for the 8800 And ofcourse I know dual core doesn't double the ghz, lol. I have 2 cores of 2.8 ghz, and they total have a power of 5.03 ghz ( according to everest ) and if you'll double it you will get 5.6 ghz so yeah it isn't doubled. For the most of you DX9 cards and 1/2gb ram are a waste of money these days, but i'm just looking for some parts so I can FINALLY be able to play some games on high ( never really played a game on the highest without massive lag ). Also, these things might be cheap for you but they're kinda expensive for me lol and I dont want to buy those newest things, why not buy the 2nd best nvidia card as long as you can run those games on high settings, since the 8800 GTS ( not even GTX ) is double as much in dollars as the 7950.

Still it's a dual core at 2.8, can't really be compared. It's like saying a gocart has 1000 hp when you compare it to a 15 times heavier vehicle. Those bragging numbers are an AMD trademark, and I hate them!

lol oh well, but will the Nvidia Geforce 7950 GT increase the speed of games a lot compared to the X1300 integrated/shared video? Since that's my main goal

Anything is better than integrated. Shared (Slower) memory, uses memory resources the system could benefit from etc.. How much for the 7950?

$200, and uhh I just overclocked this card to 600 mhz core and 260 mhz memory lol, I tried putting it any higher but games kept freezing, its good like this, TDU has increased with 20 fps, I kept having 5 fps on higher resolutions like 1024x768 and now I have 25 fps on 1024x768. Just took this screenie of a skyline which came with a patch.
I still want the new card though, since this is just.. yeah.. it feels crappy lol

its not like going from a good gfx card too a very good gfx card, your starting with something pretty bad, to something very very good. you should see a big leap.
Heres a link from tom's hardware vga charts (very useful site), the x1300 and 7950 are in blue, you may not get the same fps because the rest of your system is different.
What is significant though is the massive improvement gap between the x1300 and the 7950.
Do remember to check the power requirements of the card, you will certainly have the plug it in to the psu, meaning you may need a more powerful psu, don't ignore power requirements.

I do have to add: TDU is not a demanding game at all! you dont need a high end card to run it on high settings
