I've had my Visiontek Radeon XT1600 512 AGP card for awhile. It retailed at about $300 a year ago and

today it played it's last game. I was playing Battlefield 2 and all the sudden the fan on the graphics card

violently accelerated and stopped working! Game came to a freezing hault. It sounded like a helicopter taking

off. The fan no longer works and I think the processor is burnt to a crisp due to the black outer rim of it.

Anyway I'm looking for a cheap AGP card in the $100 range that will run Battlefield 2 on Med to High

settings. I've looked on Newegg and there's a few choices but I don't trust some of the reviews that teenagers

post. "OMG IT RUNS BATTLEFIELD 2 ON HIGH SETTINGS." <<< Those kinds of reviews. Can any of you help me

out on choosing a graphics card? I would really appreciate it! And no there is no Warrenty on my card. It expired

Sapphire Radeon x1650pro, i dont know what the US price is, but it should be around $100, a friend has it (AGP, 256MB GDDR3) and it works fine.

There has been some fan and heat related problems with the x1600 cards..

I have the X1650 PRO but 512 mb and it was 130$ (around 150 US$) but it was a PCI express

Sapphire XT1650 or anything above will do. I'm still on AGP, XT1950 and no problems in any games. The 1950 costs a bit more, and DX10 AGP cards are coming

7950GT agp, too bad it is $269 which is more than teh PCI-E version for some reason

AGP is always more expensive... But I'm still looking for somthing in the 100's

I think I might steer away from the ATI's... Anymore choices?
