yes new interstate is being worked on for bf2 (this is seperate mod form the is04 team) more public info about this will appear soon i assume.

yo guys.
pretty cool that the time limit can be switched off.

i just found out how to switch off the annoying ea intro, legal text etc.

go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Movies
there you can delete the files who are responsible for the intros. (if you don't want to delete them just put some letter or number at the end of the file name)
you should leave these files as they are "menu.bik", "menu_loggedin.bik" and "noise.bik". the first ones are the background. dunno what the last one is but just leave it.

i find it a lot better without these intros when i start the game.

Just found in another forum: You can unlock the weapons as you wish:

1. Open python\bf2\stats\unlocks.py
2. Go to line 44
3. Change the line
defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]
to
defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]
4. Enjoy all the weapons

This needs to be used server-side only. I've tested this myself by downloading
the win32 dedicated server and running it on my own computer. Works great

If you use this on your server, please add "Unlocked weapons" to your server
name so people can easily find it.

I wonder what else can be done by manipulating them python scripts... I guess it might be possible to change the game mode completely and create a server that maybe runs Team Deathmatch, maybe even Capture the flag (although that might be more difficult).

Lol, too bad the demo doesn't work on my comp. I'm 95% sure its my video card, even though i have a 3Ghz comp, my video card sucks, so does my sound card. my video card is a Nvidia GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU... whatever. lol, im not a technical person, and dont know anything about putting a computer together, i just play games

(I found out with DXDiag). anyway, my dad is gunna get me and himself new videocards after my summer vacation. when I try to run the demo, it pops up a black screen, then crashes to the desktop... anyway thx for the unlockable and timelimit thingy mua-bobber-jiggers

Yeah i have a GeForce 4 MX too( it works great with bf1942) but when i'm done school for the summer i'll get a better vid card
